I am trying to find information on my relative William W. Self, a private in Co. I. On a website I see that he was wounded at Atlanta (no date) and sent to a hospital at West Point, MS. Can anyone help me find information on his service, and how I might go about finding the hospital records? I found his grave at Pearl River Cemetary, MS, but nothing to indicate his civil war service. Supposedly his son John Franklin Selph (changed name spelling) also served in the CSA but I don't know which regiment. Any help is appreciated.
