Thank you so much for being interested in my inquiry and replying so quickly.
Here is what I do have.

I have a copy of dates, etc. written by G. T. Laws.
Feburary 9, 1925
To Who It May Concern

About May 9th, 1863, I enlisted in the Confederate Army in the Calvary service. Served till the end of the war. I first enlisted in the 3rd Mississippi Calvary

John McGyrk - Colonel
Mark Farris- Captain
Tom Hogge-1st Lieutenant
Warren Swindoll-2nd Lieutenant

This Regiment was made up for a term of twelve months at the expiration of which time, I together with most of our company (B) was transferred to the 18th Calvalry, Company A.

Jesse Forrest- Colonel
A. T. Wimberly- Captain
T. E. ( Tom) Hogge- 1st Lieutenant
Warren Swindoll-2nd Lieutenant

First engagement was at Salem, Miss., Second was at La Grange, Tn., Third at Collierville, TN, Unhurt, Only two bullet holes in my clothes in fight at Collierville, Tenn. and Wyatte, Miss.
I was taken sick near Yazoo City during the battle of Harrisburg and Forrest Raid into Memphis. My regiment left me seriously ill at the home of Mr. Wallace. After about 8 weeks I went to the hospital at Grenada, Miss, was furloughed home from there.
Stayed at home for two or three weeks and then returned to company at Macon, Miss. While returning to my company I met a Mr. and Mrs. McPherson at Siloam, Miss. They greeted me with tears because I bore resemblance to their son who had just been killed in the Army. Strange to say his uniform was exactly like mine-woven of black and white sheeps wool and the same size. Strange also was the likeness of Mrs. McPherson to my own mother. After returning to my company I served only a short time. When we surrendered our company then being at Grenada. I was paroled at Grenada, May 18, 1865, having served two years.

George Tillet Laws died July 31, 1929 and was buried in McKay cementary in Hickory Flat, Miss.
