This is all that is found in his file. I do not locate him in any other Mississippi unit.

G. T. Laws, Private, Capt. A. T. Wimberly's Company, 18th Regiment Mississippi Cavalry,* among the troops which LGen. Taylor surrendered May 4, 1865 at Citronelle, Ala. and paroled at Grenada, Miss. May 18, 1865, reported to Memphis and received parole during the 5 days ending May 20, 1865, resident of Marshall County, Miss.

* This company became Company A, 18th Regiment Mississippi Cavalry
