Re: Pvt James Eulin/Youlin, 7 MS Batt'n Infantry

Thanks, George. I'm going through every cemetery I can locate in Mineral County, WV and so far without results. I've found so many spellings of the name, I can't believe I will ever find it, i.e., Youlin, Youlen,Youlan, Yulan, Yulin, Yulen, Yubin, Yuben, Yuban, Ulan, Ulen, Ulin, Eulin, Eulen, and Eulan. His military records show Eulin and the widow's pension application shows Yulin, but the 1860 census has Youlin. I'm hoping someone may know of online records in the vicinity, that may provide information on CSA gravesites. Do you have any idea what the SOP was when prisoners died just prior to or while being exchanged? I was unable to determine where this exchange of prisoners was to take place... do you know?

Again, Thank you for your reply.
