Thanks! When I read the regimental history and saw they were surrendered at Donelson and exchanged, I did find him on a POW list on ancestry.com. But I have not seem him on another POW list - that would be new to me. He originally enlisted in the Monroe Guards and then was in the 14th Miss. I look forward to your information. He had married in Chickasaw Co in 1859 and his wife and daughter were there with her parents in 1860, but by 1870 his wife seems to have died and his daughter was being raised by her grandparents until she married in 1884.
