I am trying to find out what happened to Dr Richard Dozier of Enterprise, Mississippi. He was listed in the 1840, 50 and 60 Federal census in either Jasper county or Enterprise Clark County Mississippi. I have bills for service provided to Confederate soldiers in late 1861 in Enterprise and a one sentence note in the Richmond Va Ledger that he died in December 1861 or January 1862. His father was also Richard Dozier which makes things a bit more complicated and he married his cousin Anne Dozier. He was enrolled as a private but the end of the file notes he was enrolled by accident. Does anyone know anything about what happened to him?
