I am researching Private T. J. Cash in the 56th Georgia Infantry and found a curious item in his service record. He was captured at Vicksburg on July 4, 1863, paroled on July 8th, and "appears on a list of sick and wounded Confederate Prisoners delivered to the Confederate authorities in Mobile, Ala." My question is how was he delivered? Could it have been by ship or train?
Thanks,
