Re: 7th Mississippi Infantry Ellisville Invincible

Wow, thanks George. That's great information. I know a good bit about one of my G.G. grandfather's service, with the 13th Texas Cavalry Dismounted.
I have a signed copy of "A Spartan Band", but due to loss of some family materials when my dad died, I have just begun to compile information on the Anderson
side of my family. Do you have any recommendations for reading material? I have copies of his muster roll and pay rolls, also his capture and parol at Vicksburg.
I have a copy of a letter from Kingston that does not give his gives his date of death but states "Below find that he had no effects". There is a register that shows his death as July 8th.
Any information that you can give me would be greatly appreciated. I am compiling a book for my daughter so that this material will never be lost again.
Hey Jerry, I believe he was born around 1829.
