This is great information. I don't think that Amanda divorced George - if she did I never heard that. Also, I was told that Nelson not George arranged for Amanda to come to SC to stay with Mary Voight. Nelson did this to keep her away from George. Also, I was told that after George fled after shooting the man over the mules, that he had never seen his baby daughter Georgia Ann Lipford. My mother said that he slipped by one night to see her. I'm wondering if this was the last time that George say Amanda and his daughters Alice and Georgia.
