Apologies for the tardiness of my THANK YOU, Tom. I appreciate your reply. Good to know the background behind "Noted Guerrillas" and Edwards' views. Your info confirms my suspicions ... verify what you can and question some of the more embellished statements and stories.

As I said, I'm not related to Goss but after reading pension files of his widow Susan (Perkins) Goss' struggles after his death, I felt Emmet's name was dragged through the mud but wondered if there was a grain of truth to the stories. Interestingly, Emmet's only child's name was also Emmett except it was a daughter. That's led to some confusion.

Again, thanks for the added info. I'll look for "The Last Hurrah", too.
