I am doing research on the November raiding and burning of Jennison's 15th Kansas Cavalry at Cane Hill, Arkansas. I am getting many sources that say Lt. Emmett Goss, Co. M, 15th Kansas, was killed by Quantrill guerrillas down there at the time namely Jesse James. I am really focusing though on Orloff Norton, Co. L., 15th Kansas who was killed on Nov. 11 by "guerrillas." I am supposing that this is the Quantrill group as well?!

Goss' death seems directly tied to the Quantrill men down there, but Norton's death is by "guerrillas." Is there any proof of Norton's death by the Quantrill group as well??
