Thanks John. Could the stage line have run from Georgetown-Dunksburg-Cooks Store-Higginsville-Lexington?? If so, then this would make good transportation sense to me (going to a steamboat landing at Lexington on the Missouri), prior to the Pacific Railroad being opened in 1864 via Sedalia to Warrensburg. Also it adds logic to why Sanborn, Pleasonton and Rosecrans moved out north (-west) from Sedalia toward Georgetown-Dunksburg and Cooks Store watching the southern side (toward Arkansas) of Price's movements, with Mower and the Missouri River on the north side, away from Arkansas.
