The guerrillas have lately become quite troublesome in various parts of the state. The moderated weather evidently gave them a chance to resume outdoor life in North Missouri and hence they struck wildly in Chariton County in the vicinity of Keytesville

St Louis-Jan 14
The weather is quite warm again and the streets filled with slush and mud. The river remains closed between Cape Girardeau and Cairo, and it is said the ice is banked up fifteen feet high, thus damming the river and making the water fifteen feet higher above the gorge than below. This is a Mississippi River Story.
