I have a copy of the original letter that Lt Pond
wrote to Mary Ann Robinson, telling her that her husband
had been captured and was in Alton prison. His letter
was at the request of a friend. Lt. Pond knew some of the details but
did not some. Just a odd letter from a stranger.
