3rd Wisc Cav journal
In Response To: Any biographies by Mo union vs ()

Leonard,
Since you are interested in the anti-insurgent ops of the 3rd Wisc. Cav, you might try "In the Devil's Dominions: A Union Soldier's Adventures in "Bushwhacker Country"" by Charles W. Porter. Porter was an officer in the 3rd and his lengthy 1862-65 journal (it comes to around 200 pages) was edited by Patrick Brophy and published by the Bushwhacker Museum. Sounds like it is what you're looking for.
