Any biographies by Mo union vs

Confederate irregulars? I have read Ross's book on Hilderbrand and T.J. Stiles bography of Jesse James plus Leslies book"the devil knows how to ride about Quantrill all great books very well researched. However did any member of the MSM or one of the key USV units such has the 1st Ark, 2nd Colo ,3rd Wis write a biography or detailed diary of their experience similar to "Southern Boy in Blue the Marcus Woodcock memiors of the 9th Ky USV"? Yes there is the Pomoroy diary of a quartermaster Sgt of the 7th Kan and the story of the 2nd Colorados but I am looking for a first person detailed account of an active union soldier who fought against Confederate irregulars.

Thanks
Leonard
