Bollinger County is particularly tough, since that county is not as blessed with county histories as other Missouri counties until the last few decades. There were many counties that omitted most Civil War material from their late 1800s county histories. I suppose somebody back then decided the war feelings were still too strong to even place in the county history. I understand that, but it sure makes it harder on those of us who research these days.
