Jim and Glennon,

Jim, you are correct about the Civil War era cemetery at Bloomfield in Stoddard County. I visited the place just a couple of years ago, and I recall seeing several Civil War era graves there. I don't off-hand recall which ones.

Glennon, John's earlier reply gave you the title to my 1862 book. The 1863 volume is on the market, too. I am working hard on the 1864-1865 volume, which should be out in 2011 and will finish the series. You could order these directly from the publisher, McFarland and Company of Jefferson, NC; but most people tell me they order my books via Amazon.com and save some fees and charges. You don't see them in bookstores very often, but you can order any of mine through your local bookstore and they can get them for you if you would rather not go the dot-com route. Thank you for asking.

Bruce
