Sally: Yes this is my Isaac Bledsoe. (By the way it may be Isaac H. Bledsoe rather than Isaac N. Bledsoe). It is my understanding that this Bledsoe family and the part of the Anderson family that supported the South went to Texas with Gen. Sterling Price's retreating Confederate army in 1865. The Union branch of this Anderson family stayed in Stone Co., MO. Bledsoe was sued by his Union neighbors for buring their farms after the war and his Stone Co. land was sold to pay these default judgments. I have many of the court records.

These combined families (Bledsoe/Anderson) stayed first in the Sherman/Paris TX area, then to Dallas/Tarrant County area, where Isaac died in a hunting accident in 1866. Then some went on (including my g-gf William E. Bledsoe) to Shackelford Co., TX (Albany/Ft. Griffin) area. William met his wife (Sarah Shumate) there, operated a hotel & restaurant in Albany and later in F.t Griffin. Then moved to Moran.

William relocated to Lubbock Co. TX with his family in 1891 where I was raised. Finally some went on to Brown County, TX and then three brothers and a sister went to Oklahoma Territory and Indian Territory in the 1890s. I have lots of records, some of which relate to this Anderson family.
