Isaac Newton Bledsoe

I would appreciate any information concerning the Civil War service of my GGGrandfather Isaac Newton Bledsoe. He was born on TN in 1821, but later the family moved to MO. He married Sarah Ann Shumate in 1844 and he and his family are listed in the 1860 Federal Census for Stone County, MO. He was a Methodist minister and farmer. He is mentioned as a "bushwacker" or guerilla fighter in such publications as "Borderland Rebellion" and " Loyalty on the Frontier or Sketches of Union Men of the Southwest......". According to family history he moved his family to Texas prior to the end of the war and returned to his "unit". He joined his family in Texas after the war, but was killed in a hunting accident in 1866. A 1908 article about my GGrandfather, James Perry Bledsoe, states that his father served as a captain under General Price. There are several Isaac Bledsoes listed in UDC and the archives, but there is not enough infromation in the records to determine if any were my relative.
