Thanks Bruce! Yes, I am aware of the Union Birge and of a Union Burge. All the information that I have on Thomas is from the newspaper clipping and what was found at:

He is my 3rd cousin 3 times removed. His parents and siblings were in Rall County, Missouri prior to the Civil War. I have no wife or family recorded for him... His sister, Martha Ann Yager, married a Thompson T. Alford:

That's about all that I have to go on! Nor, do I know whom his Union brother was! He had 2 brothers, Frederic Yager and Joseph Smith Yager, whom both married in Ralls County after the War...[Looks like you'll have to copy and paste the URL's!]
