I found that a Missouri Confederate soldier died here in 1920 and buried in an unmarked grave at the Mt. View Cemetery [perpetural care]. I ordered a flat VA bronze plate with the cemetery management filing out the paper work. When it arrived, they set it in without charge or perpetural care charge as they said his burial took place before annual charges were assessed. Can’t beat that.

For information, when we set the 77 stones in Cedar Hill, ca 1998, the SCV camp folks brought in a Bob Cat. Set in an 8 inch auger and drilled two holes 20 inch deep for each stone. After all holes had been drilled and prepped, the auger was replaced with a heavy rope, then each stone was hog tied and dropped in place. Took two days to complete the job on two very hot and humid July days!!
