I set you up.
Yes, the modern little City of Minden, Louisiana, is located on United States Highway Interstaete I - 20 several / many miles northward from the Red River.
I looked at that thing rather hard some years past.
There was a Minden's Landing on the Red River at the time of the Civil War.
It appear to have something to do with the City of Minden.
Remember, this was a Transportaton Starved area and almost surely the Red River would have been utilized by the entire area.

Has any one done work on the movement of Commessary Stores down the Red RIver to Vicksburg and also to Port Hudson, where they moved into the Interior of the Eastern Confederacy.
