Stumbled across this post in doing some preliminary digging into the history of Dulcito since my family (Trappey) used to own it. If anyone has helpful resources or would like to know anything I have learned, please feel free to contact me. Unfortunately, those originally familiar with the purchase and restoration of the plantation are now deceased. I know my mother was seven or eight years old at the time the plantation was purchased, so I hope to get some information from her if possible. Again, I have just started to research so I will hopefully come across more information in the future.
