Re: Dulcito Plantation - Confederate Hospital

I've metaldetected Camp Pratt from one end to the other.I've found alot of civil war era bullets, buttons, coins, camp lead and such.I've found a campsite next to the coulee that runs from the lake to the highway.I haven't found anything relating to a cemetary. If anyone knows what kind of signs to look for, short of stumbling upon a grave.I would be more than happy to help them search.I recently acquired permission to metaldetect on the property next to Dulcito Plantation. The guy told me he thinks their are some new owners of Dulcito, and he'll try to get me permission to go.I'll keep my fingers crossed.I have a Great Great uncle buried in the St. Peters cemetary on French St. in New Iberia that fought in the civil war by the name of Ulgere Norris. His brother,my Great Great Grandfather is supposed to be buried there too but we can't find his grave. He was believed to have fought with the 2nd Co.A Ragsdale Battn. Texas Calvary. We have a document that says place of enlistment Calcasieu April 10,1864.Could someone verify that ,I would really like to know if it's authentic. Thanks for your time Kenny ray Norris
