Not really looking for chaplins/ministers/priests that served in the Regiments.
Was trying to see if there were lay ministers/priests or circuit riders. I do the 8th La Rgmt reenacting group in South California and one of the members wants to be a soldier and a chaplain. Was thinking a well versed lay person might be a better way to go. Just trying to see if there were such people (lay people, circuit riders) prior to the war.
