My great * 3 grandfather Elijah Crawford was also a part of the Claiborne Rangers. I really do not know much about him except from a few records that he was a shoemaker and made boots for his infantry. He was born in Clarke Co. Georgia and he moved to Alabama with his family in the 1850's census in the 1860's census I found him in Calhoun Co. Arkansas living with Samuel Miller's family. I am not sure how he made it to Louisiana but he enlisted in Homer and he resided there after the war with his wife Sallie who was originally from South Carolina.
