Google has different classifications for the books they have online. Full View, Partial View, Preview and No View Available. The AGs report was a full view. Sounds like some of what you found were only partial view. You can also download and print the full view books as a PDF file, however their PDFs are not searchable. It's best to do your searching on the primary site. Unfortunately, some of the old books that I was most interested in are not full view for some reason, perhaps not in the public domain yet? Although you can search the partial and previews you can't always get to read all the pages you get hits on. At least it is a good way of finding books that you can locate in a library, which if you look the page over you will find a link that says, "Find in a library." You then enter your zip code and it will locate the nearest libraries registered with the system that has the book.
