Thank you for taking the time out to discuss this and for giving me another place to look for information. I would very much like to represent/teach history accurately. Descriptions from people like Sparks get me psyched....Just to be able to show that at least some Natives were holding on to tradition is fascinating....Perhaps I should hold off on the Comanche angle and focus more on something more documentable. Have you ever read the Osprey bookss on Native American Mounted Riflemen or the Civil War in the Indian Territory....? The author of the first one mentions the Osage as being pretty "wild" .........I am going to have a look in the bibliography......Thanks Again
