Re: Tarlton Bull, DeMorse's 29th Cav, Co E

Ken,

Sorry its taken so long -- I get so busy, so tired at times. Thanks for your reply. Is there a map of these locations somewhere? What counties are these places in? I live in SW Oklahoma and know very little about Eastern Oklahoma. My great Uncle wrote in IPP that his parents lived in either Sequoyah or Leflore Counties but he doesn't know which side of the Arkansas River they lived on. But they moved away in the late 1870s to Denton Co., Tx. In the late 1880s they moved back up to Oklahoma, to the Chickasaw Nation -- to Mud Creek near present day Duncan. We've been in Southwestern Oklahoma ever since.

There is another contradiction in what was writen in that Jackson Family Booklet. It says Tarlton's brother was held POW for 2 years and that he was taken POW at that battle, yet that battle was fought what -- 6 or 9 months before the end of the war?

Still have not found any of Tarlton and Sarah's children -- still looking, still hopeful. That is really the reason I post about Tarlton -- in the hopes of finding them. His wife was great grandma's (Josephine [Brown] Richey b. Ar 1854-d. Ok 1932) sister.

again, thanks
