Enoch is not the proven father of our Wiley Hood. He is of the same lineage (according to the Y-DNA records - I was once the co-administrator of the Hood Family Tree Online DNA Website.) I was the original source of the theory (and it is a theory, and not proven) that Enoch Hood is the father of Wiley Hood. Wiley's date of birth (1809) in South Carolina would fit for Enoch's unknown oldest son. In addition, Wiley named my great grandfather John Smith Hood (Enoch's wife's name was Mildred Smith) and a daughter Mildred. The names and the DNA suggest that Enoch may have been Wiley Hood's father, but they do not prove it.
