Re: 18th GA Infantry Casualty Lists for 1864

Greg,

Thank you very much for the recommendation! Since it appears that Captain Lemon of company A of the 18th Georgia was captured in late 1863, do you know if he mentions anything about any of the men in other companies of the 18th in 1864 and 1865 in his recollections? I went to the Georgia Archives earlier this year and looked through the microfilmed copies made of the original muster rolls for company C of the 18th hoping to find something else about my ancestor, Pvt. John L. Worsham, other than what is already found in his CMSR. Unfortunately there wasn’t any additional info on the muster rolls. The original muster rolls of the 18th Georgia are housed at the National Archives in Washington, DC. The microfilmed copies of the original muster rolls are located in drawer 279, box 79 at the Georgia Archives. While at the Archives, I also looked at the microfilmed copies of the original muster rolls for Cobb's Legion Cavalry Battalion, which are located in drawer 279, box 92. I think I’ll go ahead and order one of those books!
