Best source is Joe Brown's Army: The Georgia State Line, 1862-1865 by William Harris Bragg. Mr Bragg will make it clear that the Georgia State Line never 'merged' with the Confederate Army, but was on loan from Governor Brown for limited periods of time. First action for General Smith and the Georgia State Line was Battle of Atlanta, July 22, 1864, not Kolb's Farm. Any pictures of Georgia State Line members will be there and in the Georgia State Archives. No rolls for any company of the 2nd Regiment except Co "F" --
