A Ten Pound Parrot Shell

From the Rome Ga. Bulletin

Mr. Lewis McCurry laid on out table this morning a ten pound Parrot shell
fired at the Cherokee Artillery. The shell fell near the company at Cumberland Gap 1862, and Mr Tobe McCurry dug it up and sent it home and has had it ever since. it has a familiar face and members of this grand old artillery company can see it a Moseleys drug store under the Bulletin office.
