Barry: Thanks. Although their guns (and a number of men) were captured, right after the battle they were sent to Atlanta where they were given new guns and returned to the AOT at Cassville. This is confirmed by the Connor Diary and the Marshall account in "Military Annals of Tennessee." I know that a couple of internet sites say they did not get guns again until the capture of Dalton, but that seems not to conform to the facts. What I need is something to flesh out the Cherokee Artillery's (Corput's Battery) actions from Cassville through Jonesboro. Thanks for your help. Zack
