There were two Confederate hospitals in Dalton, Post Hospital, however there are no records at the National Archives for the period he was admitted. St. Mary's Hospital, however, this hospital was moved to La Grange in 1863.
There is in Record Group 109 at the National Archives "A medical examining board record relating to patients in Dalton hospitals, 1863-64 (ch. VI, vol. 543)
