There is also some erroneous information in the book, which I reviewed for Civil War News a year or so ago. The author made no attempt to reach out to known flag historians which would have prevented this incorrect information from being published.

I, like Ken, do not agree with the author's conclusion that the flag in question was the first of the ANV style flags pre-dating even those by the Cary girls.
