Granted I came around there much later in the mid-late 70s' on my first of many Vex pilgrimage treks in the quest for further knowledge. Most around today never heard of the "Battle Abbey" phrase. If you mention it they pause and stare at you like a possum in the head lamps "The What?". Like others I stood there mesmerized staring up at the grand array of noble banners, till your neck hurt. Half disappointed that I couldnt get a better or closer look at the details of them at that time, since they hung high up on the walls. All before they were transfered over to MOC.
