So what your indicating is that, for example, the National Color of the 15th U.S. Regulars would have white stars, while the flag, again, for example, of the 8th Wisconsin would have gold stars? Wasn't aware of that little tid bit, interesting. BTW, what size were the stars on the post-1862 Federal Cav./ Art. guidons?
