N.Y.S.V Flag captured, impossible?

In doing some research on Mahones Brigade recently, I came across a report of the action of June 22, 1864 that might be interesting to the experts that follow this board. In the action on the Jerusalem Plank Road the after action report of Co E, 6th Va states the following. 107th NYV colors captured by Lieut. E. Borland. Quick research revealed that the 107th was in Ga. at this time having been transferred from the AOP previously. So would anybody know whos flag was it. The report was written by 2nd Lt Euklend Borland and transcribed by National Archives staff in the early 20th century, could it be a typo or was Borland confused. Anybody know?
