I noticed the same Dave. And the White House of the Confederacy sure lost it's relic luster many years ago. It appears that Gettysburg has also put all their goodies "in the closet" for the sake of "A New Birth of Freedom". What a shame that so many treasures are out of sight of the interested public. All of the public might not care. But a lot of us, especially those that play in the dirt, care. Has the Rosensteel collection been lost to the public forever? If not for them, would there be a Gettysburg NPS site? Visit the UDC Museum in Charleston for a great "old style" display of history that will keep you in awe for hours on end. Leave it to the Ladies to keep it real.
