The Sailor I mentioned before was sailing on the Minnesota. I have since reviewed a copy of the Rhode Island Adjutant General Report 1865. In it I found eight sailors who served on the Cumberland, two where not on the ship on March 8, 1862, four of them went on and two lost with the ship. The reason I mentioned the Minnesota is that she survived the battle and I saw numerous Rhode Islanders listed to have sailed on her. I will have to go back and see
if they were there that day. Tom, did you recieve the picture I tried to send you? I am not the most computer savy.
