The CSS Virginia site should have given credit were it is do, the Washington Naval Yard and the U. S. Navy’s history department. The pictures, history and commentary is from the their archives of Naval records. I didn’t see anything new or original on the CSS Virginia site. If I missed the credit is do page, I apologize.
The Cumberland logs and list of sailers and officers, if I where looking for it, I’d start at the Naval Yard in Washington, DC.
If you want to see a bunch of captured naval flag dating back to the Rev. War the museum at the Naval Academy is the place to go.
