Although you Spencer rifle does not directly hit on anything - it does fall into range of the 105th Pennsylvannia cavalry. The Spencer Rifle and Carbines where serial number in order, and they show up will into the 50,000 range into the Civil War. Not sure where the other information is referenced from.
