Mike, about sixty years ago my Uncle Cash Hicks had a span of mules to plow and pull the sorgham mill. One was old and calm. He'd do anything required of him. The young one wanted to bite you, and was very sneaky about it. We always had to harness the old one first, or the youngster would fight being harnessed. I suppose he figured it was inevitable, seeing his buddy all harnessed up. He absolutely would not pull the sorgham mill. I guess he did not like going in circles. Whenever Uncle Cash tried him on the mill, he'd buck and kick, endangering the mill. Maybe he was smarter than the old one after all! LOL Stan
