Bryan, on the Gerdes site there is a Thomas Shepherd Co A 11th ARk Infantry with a death date of July 12, 1862 at Camp Douglas. His CSR states death date on Oct 7 1862 at Camp Douglas. Do you know where the July date may have come from? Not sure if this was some of your info or not. Just trying to get the correct date.
