Louden's Battalion

In the extended edition of the Arkansas volume of Confederate Military History, in the entry for John S. Duffie (p. 477), there is the following statement -

"Early in the summer of 1862 he enlisted in the company of Capt. John M. Inge, which was assigned to the battalion of Lieut.Col. John T. Louden, John King, major. With this command he took part in the battle of Elkhorn Tavern, after which the battalion was disbanded, the organization having been made for emergency service."

The updated Confederate order of battle for Elkhorn in Banasik's Confederate Tales of the War 1862 doesn't mention the unit. CSR has no records for Louden, although there is a John T. Loudon serving in Woosley's Cavalry Battalion. Major King may be a reference to James King of the 35th Arkansas Infantry as a John M. Inge also served in that regiment.

Does anyone have any information on this battalion? Could it possibly have been part of a militia unit called up around that time?
