It would seem that he enlisted soon after turning 17 years of age, ca 1864. Confederate records during the last year of the war are rather scarce. I find nothing in the records I have access to under his name.

Applications for Confederate pensions relied on affidavits of the soldier’s service by his Comrades, although this was not always true.

What you quoted were from, where they from his or her pension application? If you do not have his, it might be helpful to obtain it. These message boards provide a service obtaining service and pension records. I’m not sure they can obtain Arkansas pensions. You can query them at
