In Response To: McNeil's Co K 19th AR Co A ()

John W. Joiner, age 46, 2nd Corporal, Captain Speer’s Company, 19th Regiment Arkansas Infantry,* enlisted October 10, 1861 at Antonia, Ark. by C. L. Dawson for 12 months, last recorded present at the June 5,1862 muster, no further records

Note, the next surviving Company A muster roll is that for the period August 3, 1862 to April 30, 1863. As he was not recorded on this roll, he must have been dropped from the rolls at the missing muster for some unknown reason. Perhaps for being over the age of Conscription

* This company subsequently became Company A, 19th Regiment (Dawson’s) Arkansas Infantry

There is no record for a C/C.C/Christopher Tate. Nor is there a record in the Arkansas Confederate Pension site at http://www.ark-ives.com/documenting/confed_pensions.aspx
