I am in need of information on a J. M. McClintock. He died somewhere in November of 1934
having been born in Pennsylvania on June 20, 1839. So he lived to the ripe old age of 95.
McClintock's obit appeared in the England Democrat which was published in Lonoke County, Ar.
It stated he had been an Illinois cavalryman having been discharged at DeValls Bluff when the
Civil War ended in 1865. He was the former sheriff in both Prairie and Lonoke County. He has served
as the sheriff at Old Brownsville (1868-1872) and then when Lonoke County was
formed, was the sheriff from 1873-1874.
Which military group was he with and where did he serve? Truthfully, any information would be appreciated.
